The Nikon D50 is a digital SLR with a 6.1MP DX-size sensor; matrix, center-weighted, and spot metering; vari-program exposure modes as well as aperture-, shutter-priority, and manual; built-in auto flash; autofocus; and RAW and JPEG storage on SD memory cards. It comes here with an AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 G auto-focus DX lens with VR (vibration reduction). The range of the lens, extending from wide-angle through normal to short telephoto (equivalent to 27-73mm in full-frame FX), makes it a useful and versatile general-purpose lens. The vibration reduction allows for hand-held photography in low light with slow shutter speeds.
