The Yashica FR, introduced in 1976, was Yashica’s answer to the contemporary professional SLR cameras of Nikon and Canon, the Canon F-1 and Nikon F2. Like its competitors, the FR was housed in a robust, all-metal body, but unlike them had an electronic shutter (B, 1-1/1000) with feather-touch release, which was later adopted for the Nikon F3 and the Canon A series. The FR has film settings from ASA 12 to 3200, through-the-lens CdS metering, fully manual exposure with LED display, aperture and shutter-speed display in the viewfinder, depth-of-focus preview, self-timer, and battery check. The lens mount is the Contax/Yashica mount, which accommodates the full line of Yashica lenses, including the professional-grade ML lenses, as well as the superb Carl Zeiss T* Contax lenses (several of which are listed elsewhere on this site). The black camera body for sale here comes with the Yashica ML Zoom 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.8 lens and the Yashica winder.

Included: Yashica lens cap and camera battery. Batteries for the motor drive (six AA) are not included. An optional Yashica hard carrying case, which holds the camera, winder, the mounted lens, and two additional lenses, is available on request at no extra charge. Operating Condition:  Excellent - Tested and fully working. 

 Cosmetic Condition:  Used Excellent. There is a dent on one end of the top cover of the camera, and scuffs and brassing on the bottom plate. The motor drive is Used Excellent Plus.
